Two Day Pottery Throwing Course

Develop your throwing skills on this Two Day Improvers Throwing course. Spend two days developing your throwing technique and learning to apply handles and turn footrings.

Day one is an opportunity to refine your throwing skills working with mugs, jugs and bowls. With only six people on the course you’ll get plenty of one to one tuition, as well as helpful demonstrations and the opportunity for questions and discussion.

On day two you’ll learn how to successfully pull and apply handles and turn footrings.

You will make around 8-10 pieces which will be fired and glazed for you, ready to collect 4-5 weeks later. (You also have the option to collect your pots after biscuit firing if you would like to glaze them yourself.)

This course is suitable for people with some throwing experience, including those who have completed our One Day Throwing Course or who are able to throw simple cylinders.

The course runs over 2 days, from 10am – 4pm, with maximum of 6 students

A communal home-cooked lunch and other refreshments are included as part of each day.

The course fee also includes all materials and firing costs.

Course fee: £280
