Take your pottery throwing skills to the next level! Over the course of this three day pottery throwing masterclass you’ll develop and refine your throwing technique. You will be making a range of mugs, jugs and teapots. Along the way you’ll learn how to throw lids, galleries and spouts, how to successfully pull and apply handles, and how to elegantly turn your pots.
Each day will include demonstrations, discussions and plenty of time to make. With only five people on the course you’ll receive a lot of one to one tuition and Bill will also tailor his approach to the experience and interests of the group.
This course is suitable for keen throwers, including those who have regular access to a wheel at home or in a shared studio.
The course runs over 3 days, from 10am – 4pm, with maximum of 5 students
A communal home-cooked lunch and other refreshments are included as part of each day.
The course fee also includes all materials and firing costs.
Course fee: £460

“Three days was an ideal amount of time to learn new skills and really put them into practice. Bill clearly had an outline of what he expected to cover, but allowed himself to be guided by what the group told him it wanted and needed. To my mind, this is an ideal approach. I came away feeling that I had learnt an enormous amount.”
