Set in the glorious North Somerset countryside, within easy reach of Bristol, Clayability offers a range of pottery courses and one day workshops for beginners and experienced potters alike. Courses are taught in our spacious studios which have been refurbished during 2020 for your comfort and safety.

We are looking forward to restarting pottery classes and courses from Monday 17th May - including the start of our 10 week Summer Term.

We’re busy rescheduling any courses that were due to take place between now and the 17th May and will contact students via email with alternative dates.

We’ll also continue to monitor government announcements for any changes to the roadmap for easing Covid restrictions.

All courses and workshops are led by one of our experienced professional potters
Bill Moore and Ian Beckton.

Our popular 10 week courses run during term time - with a range of day and evening options from Monday to Saturday.

If you’re interested in learning to throw on the potters' wheel, or would like to develop your existing throwing skills, we run one day throwing courses (usually on a Sunday).

We now offer a “Teapot in a weekend” course.A unique opportunity to learn how to throw and assemble a teapot and mugs, for those already comfortable with the basics of throwing.

We also offer a two day Raku course over two consecutive Sundays, allowing you to make and then fire your work outside. Expect to get very hands on!

If you’d like to treat someone else to one of these experiences you can also buy them as a gift voucher. Contact us if you’d like more information.

We’re very pleased to receive our ‘Good To Go’ certificate from Visit England. This accreditation means we have met all Covid 19 Government guidelines and have created a space that is both reassuring and enjoyable.
