Set in the glorious North Somerset countryside, within easy reach of Bristol, Clayability offers a range of pottery courses and one day workshops for beginners and experienced potters alike.

All courses and workshops take place in a well equipped studio, led by one of our experienced professional potters - Bill Moore and Ian Beckton.

Our popular 10 week courses run during term time - with a range of day and evening options from Monday to Saturday.

If you’re interested in learning to throw on the potters' wheel, or would like to develop your existing throwing skills, we run one day throwing courses (usually on a Sunday).

New for 2020 - we now offer a “Teapot in a weekend” course. A unique opportunity to learn how to throw and assemble a teapot and mugs. Suitable for beginners and improvers.

We also offer a two day Raku course over two consecutive Sundays, allowing you to make and then fire your work outside. Expect to get very hands on!

If you’d like to treat someone else to one of these experiences you can also buy them as a gift voucher. Contact us if you’d like more information.

The Clayability team and students are very excited to be following the new series of the Great British Throw Down 2020 with host Melanie Sykes and judges Keith Brymer Jones and Sue Pryke. Wednesdays 9pm – 10pm on More4 and Sundays 6.45pm – 8pm on Channel 4. Good luck everyone.
